Let me start by saying that Royal Jelly Events is more than a project for me — it's a passion that's grown from years of living, breathing, and shaping music-driven experiences in Barcelona. I've always believed that the right sound can transform a moment, and that vision has guided everything I do as a DJ and as an event creator.

My journey started long before Royal Jelly existed. I was drawn to music and rhythm from an early age, fascinated by the way a DJ can shift the entire energy of a room with a single track. Over the years, I played in countless spaces — bars, clubs, pop-ups, and private gatherings — always with the same mission: create a vibe people remember and want to come back to.

Founding Royal Jelly Events came naturally. I wanted a platform where music, art, and cultural experiences could come together, and where both locals and visitors could feel connected through authentic moments. Today, I'm proud to curate everything from intimate flamenco nights and live concerts to Afro House parties, bachata events, and open-format DJ sets tailored to each venue's identity.

I'm lucky to have an incredible community around me — artists, collaborators, and supporters who make every event possible. And I'm excited for you to experience what we do. Duo JaVi

Cumbia Duo

From Barcelona, Venezuelan bassist, guitarist, and improviser Jaiver Villaroel joins Colombian singer-songwriter and maraca player Victoria Laverde, a passionate interpreter of Afro-Colombian music. With solid careers on national and international stages, this duo needs nothing more than their voices, strings, and maracas to ignite an authentic cumbia party.

Separately, each is a musical universe; together, they are pure energy and flavor, capable of turning any moment into an unforgettable experience.

David Sánchez

Flamenco Band Leader & Cantaor

David Sánchez is the driving force behind Esencia Viva Flamenco, serving as both lead singer and artistic coordinator of the ensemble. With a powerful voice and a natural sense of musical direction, David shapes performances that are deeply rooted in flamenco tradition while remaining engaging and accessible for modern audiences.

His group typically features a guitarist, cajón player, dancer, and often an additional singer, allowing him to craft dynamic performances that balance rhythm, melody, and emotion. Under his guidance, the ensemble moves as one: the guitar's subtle phrasing, the cajón's heartbeat-like pulse, the dancer's expressive movements, and the voices blend into a cohesive, immersive experience.

Through Esencia Viva Flamenco, David has built a reputation for delivering authentic, soulful shows across Barcelona. His leadership ensures that every performance — whether in an intimate restaurant setting, a curated cultural event, or a special private gathering — feels polished, expressive, and true to the essence of flamenco.

Cristian Saucedo

Flamenco Singer & Ensemble Leader

Cristian Saucedo is a flamenco singer and ensemble leader whose voice embodies the deep emotional power of traditional cante. With rich, expressive vocals and a commanding stage presence, he channels the soul of flamenco in a way that feels both timeless and profoundly intimate.

As the leader of his group — typically formed by a guitarist, cajón player, dancer, and often an additional singer — Cristian shapes each performance with artistic precision. He guides the dynamics of the ensemble, bringing together rhythm, melody, and movement to create a cohesive and emotionally charged experience.

Cristian's approach honors the roots of flamenco while embracing the sensitivities of contemporary audiences. Mariana San Juan

Solo Musician

Mariana San Juan (aka @sanjuanmusic) is a captivating solo artist whose magnetic presence blends violin, voice, and a deeply soulful spirit. Based in Barcelona, she transforms every performance into an intimate, memorable experience that resonates with emotion and energy.

With a foundation in classical technique and a heart rooted in modern sounds, Mariana reimagines popular music through her violin and piano, turning songs by artists like Maluma, Camilo, and Rauw Alejandro into personal, evocative interpretations. Her YouTube channel showcases her versatility — from melodic covers to original arrangements that highlight her tone, finesse, and expressive phrasing.

Her live performances are unforgettable. From collaborations with Necrojocker and Tiago G at Royal Jelly BCN events, where electronic energy meets organic strings, to serene duets with handpan artists, Mariana effortlessly creates moments that feel both grounded and transcendent.
